Venues at The Grand are just that, large enough for an authentically festive Indian wedding, while this resort’s wedding perks mean that the more guests you bring, the greater the benefits.

It’s no secret that our team is obsessed with the Grand at Moon Palace and think it’s one of the best all-inclusive resorts for a destination wedding, especially an Indian or South Asian destination wedding.
Best for: Wedding couples with a “bigger is better” mindset and an extensive guest list
The Moon Palace Cancun neighbors The Grand, and comprises two sections, Nizuc and Sunrise.
As with The Grand, the more guests you invite, the more benefits you receive in the form of free wedding essentials, including events, decorations, and entertainment, to the value of $20 per room per night.
Also in common with The Grand, is that Moon Palace Cancun is another family-friendly all-inclusive resort, with the key difference being that this resort is a more affordable option.
We recently reviewed Moon Palace Cancun and it’s still one of our overall favorite resorts for a destination wedding.
Best for: Generous wedding perks and a more affordable price point
Dreams Playa Mujeres is an all-inclusive family haven for anyone who enjoys a world-class golf course or expert spa treatments (or, why not both?).
Unlike resorts like The Grand and Moon Palace with thousands of rooms, this Dreams resort offers a touch more intimacy as a smaller luxury destination within a gated community in Playa Mujeres.
Offering full South Asian wedding packages, namely the “Shaadi “and “Dulha & Dulhan” packages, Indian weddings come to life under the talent and dedication of Dreams’ amazing wedding team.
Our team loves working with the wedding team at Dreams Playa Mujeres and think the resort offers one of the best combinations of venues, packages, and pricepoint for a destination wedding.
Best for: Weddings under 150 people, who get to take advantage of the South Asian wedding packages in a lavish resort with fewer rooms than the larger destination spots.
Hard Rock Riviera Maya is an all-inclusive resort south of Playa Del Carmen that’s primed and ready to host your authentic yet amped-up Indian wedding.

You don’t have to sacrifice the wedding elements that are most important to you, whether that’s traditional music, a festive mehndi event, or expertly prepared Indian cuisine.
Hard Rock’s WOW specialists are certified on-site wedding planning experts who keep their eyes on the details and masterfully control all the messy moving parts of a destination wedding.

Hard Rock Punta Cana offers the same unforgettable rock n’ roll-meets-luxury experience as its sister resort in the Riviera Maya, just on a picturesque white sand beach in the Dominican Republic.
One distinguishing feature of this all-inclusive resort is the on-site casino, the so-called “best casino in Punta Cana,” for those adults who want a little extra party around the festivities.
This is another family-friendly resort, featuring the excellent Roxity Kids Club and Rockaway Bay Water Park to keep the little rock stars entertained day after day.
As with Hard Rock Riviera Maya, your dedicated WOW specialist works closely with you to plan every moment, and there are generous perks and a complimentary package of which to take advantage.

Anywhere in the US will be similar to getting married at home.
Mexico and Jamaica are also convenient places to get married legally.
In Mexico you will have to complete some paperwork prior to arriving, have a blood test in Mexico, be over 18, have a witness and be in the country a few days prior to the legal ceremony.
Most other destinations have similar requirements.
The reality is that most clients will get legally married in the US and then have a symbolic ceremony at the destination of their dreams.
Most of the resorts our team at Destination Weddings by Vacationeeze works with offer several venue options.
Resorts such as Generations Riviera Maya have roof top venues that look over the resort and the beach and have amazing views. Most resorts also have locations in the gardens, in a gazebo, on a pier or around the pool.
If you’re planning an Indian wedding, or a wedding of 100+ guests, you want to double check that your desired venue can accomodate your guest list.
The simple answer is, maybe!
Some adults-only resorts will allow the kids to attend but for a limited amount of time.
Some resorts will have restrictions as to where you can hold the ceremony and reception if there are children.
In some cases, Vacationeeze will work with resorts that are close to a sister family-friendly resort that allows everyone to stay.
In that case, you might have the adults stay at the adults-only resort and have the ceremony at the family resort.
Some of the best resorts are:
The answer is actually yes.
Many of the resorts we work with will provide you a free wedding package, that may include a ceremony and components to your reception.
Each resort has certain requirements such as a minimum number of rooms booked or that you stay in a certain room type, or that you (or your guests) stay a minimum number of nights.
Most of the free packages are for symbolic weddings only.
Each package typically includes the ceremony, a toast, cake and a few other special things.
Anything you can do at home, we can typically arrange for your destination wedding.
If you dream of arriving to your reception in a horse-drawn carriage, we can do that.
If you want a barefoot party on the beach with a DJ and special lighting we can handle that. Interested in fireworks on the beach or a bonfire, we can do that also.
We can help you customize the menu, hire a photographer, pick your theme and decorations, and select your music to make your event memorable.
The cost for events are typically much less than it would cost you at home.
For your destination wedding, we suggest that you start to plan 12 to 18 months in advance.
Booking your tropical wedding well in advance is better for both you and your guests.
Based on our experience, an Indian destination wedding with about 200-300 guests typically costs around $150,000 for a three-day celebration.
Of course various factors contribute, but this tends to be the average for couples that we work with.
We do not suggest shipping your clothing in advance as there is no way to assure it will make it to the resort.
We suggest that you either carry your garments on the plane or you ask the shop to pack it for you in a carry-on or a box.
Once you arrive at the resort you will meet with one of the wedding planners and they will work with you to unpack and steam the clothes so they look brand new.
Each resort has certain times for the ceremony.
As we help you plan we need to think about the time of day and time of year.
It is not much fun having a wedding on the beach at 1 pm in the afternoon when it is 100 degrees out.
We have to think about the weather in selecting the location.
We will work with you to plan the travel arrangements for you and your guests.
We will also have you work with one of the coordinators at the resorts that we work with.
They can help you with everything from selecting your menus, the location for the ceremony, your flowers and anything else you can think of.
If you’re planning a wedding with 100+ people, or multiple events we may recommend hiring a wedding planner as they can help with all the small details.
We hope that this curated list of our favorite resorts for an Indian destination wedding has helped you find some options that capture your heart.
You may be drawn to destinations that promise excitement, entertainment, and unforgettable events, or maybe those that deliver tranquility and romance is more your speed. The truth is, many of the options in this list can help you achieve all of the above.
Navigating the array of options out there can be overwhelming, but that’s where we come in.
We’re experts in understanding every aspect of your dreams and working with these world-class resorts to make them a tangible reality.
